Part of the mighty Sri Vijayan empire since the 14 th century, it is also during that period that Singapore earned its current name “Singa Pura” (the lion city). After the second world war, Singapore became a crown colony, before obtaining its independence on August 9th of 1965. Strategically located at the center of Southeast Asia, Singapore is considered the number one regional banking center.

End of April 2005, BDG has opened a representative office in Singapore, in order to facilitate the development of its south-east Asian clientele and its understanding of the Asian financial markets.

In 2008, the representative office turned into a financial company under the name of BDG Singapore Private Ltd, which in the course of june of this same year was granted by the Singaporean authorities a Financial advisory licence. This newly created subsidiary moved its offices to one of the most exclusive location of Singapore, Orchard Road.
