In 1994 Banca Popolare di Bergamo - Credito Varesino became the sole owner of Banque de Dépôts et de Gestion’s share capital.
Following some mergers and acquisitions in 2003 and 2007 undertaken by its mother company the capital share of the bank is actually owned by UBI Banca (Unione di Banche Italiane S.c.p.a.) fourth largest Italian banking group.Ubi Banca services 4 million clients, has a network of 1,970 branches and a workforce of nearly 21,500. Its primary vocation in Italy is to provide banking services for individuals, small-and mid-sized businesses and a private banking clientele.
UBI Banca is solidly represented in Italy, especially in regions in the north of the country. The new group also has an extensive network abroad, with offices in Luxembourg, Hong Kong, Munich, Mumbai, Singapore, São Paulo, Shanghai, Madrid and Moscow.
