At Neuchâtel, Banque de Dépôts et de Gestion occupies a classified town house previously owned by Banque Courvoisier, a bank taken over by BDG in 1983. Built in 1814 by Frédéric de Pourtalès et de Castellane, the former equerry to the Empress Josephine, this magnificent building was frequented by a glittering society. A grand reception was held here in honour of Friedrich-Wilhelm IV, the King of Prussia. Acquired by the Courvoisier family in 1880, this elegant building in yellow Hauterive stone forms part of Switzerland's architectural heritage.
